WASA Layyah Jobs 2026. A recruitment process was recently initiated in the District of Layyah, providing recruitment opportunities for residents, primarily equating to those with Layyah domicile status and who are applying for Work–Charge positions at the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and associated Municipal Services; this process will occur in the upcoming months of March and April 2026.

The primary purpose of this recruitment process is to provide an avenue for temporary employment for persons in Punjab who are required to maintain essential services, including pre–monsoon desilting and water supply maintenance, and to address requirements created by the devolution of WASA to the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and the Municipal Committee of Layyah. The Office of the Executive Engineer (XEN) has announced these activities as they relate to the recruitment of temporary staff, which will enable the XEN to provide an avenue for the temporary appointment of staff for a fixed period of 85 days, to fill established staffing gaps. The number of available positions will be determined by specific work tasks that require daily workers to perform these essential tasks promptly. Additionally, a transparent walk–in interview process is underway to complete this recruitment process as soon as possible, to allow the XEN to have the necessary staff in the field to begin their assigned WASA Layyah Jobs 2026  immediately.

• Primary and Middle School –> Sewerman, Mason, Driver
• Matric/Intermediate –> Telephone Operator, Driver
• DAE/Diploma –> Sub Engineer, Electrician
• Bachelor/BS –> Computer Operator, Engineer, GIS

Brief Description of Post:

Sewerman (38 posts): sewer cleaning and sanitation work (physical) job

Computer Operator (05 posts): data entry, office software work (computer skills required)

Driver (20 total approximate): includes general drivers + disposal drivers (valid driver‘s license required)

 

Interview Schedule:

Interviews will be held at the XEN PHED Office, District Complex, Layyah, starting at 10:00 AM.

• Field Staff (Sewerman/Chowkidar): April 15, 2026
